Brotato review

A fairly simplistic top-down shooter hot on the heels of Vampire Survivors' explosive success, retaining the automatic aiming, but refocusing on a wave-based gameplay model set in a small arena. Features minimalist graphics reminiscient of Flash or even mobile games and basically no enemy or level variety whatsoever, but makes up for it with incredible build variety. Meta-progression is limited to unlocking new items and characters, the latter of which are very numerous and can feature massively different playstyles. This ends up making Brotato surprisingly engaging and addictive, despite the sub-par presentation. One of the few shining gems to be found in the endless gravelpit that is the genre.
