A short experimental walking-sim styled horror game set in a spooky mansion with the lights turned off. There's more to it than that obviously, but when looking back at my time with Anatomy, I can't help but feel like it didn't quite live up to the potential of its rather unique and interesting premise, as the more effective scares tend to get drowned out in a wave of cheap-feeling indie horror clichés. Is there any particular reason why the entire game needs to be overlaid with an obnoxious VHS-filter, other than pandering to the "Analog Horror"-crowd? Yes I'll admit it, the game is creepy, but only in the sense of creeping around a bunch of dark hallways, anxiously awaiting a scare that never really materializes, while most of the reality-altering stuff the game beats you over the head with falls flat and ends up feeling pedestrian and predictable. Horror is of course inherently subjective and the core idea is interesting, so it might still be worth checking out, but personally, I didn't really care for it.
