Isometric twin-stick-shootin' carnage driven to the superlative with a focus on simplicity in concept and execution. Enter a succession of futuristic gun-metal grey corridors and paint them deep red with alien guts. Yessir, no corpse fade here, probably because it's all sprite based. Later levels become so strewn with viscera that it causes issues with navigation. Overall nothing sophisticated, but good for blowing off steam. A full run takes about three hours, but the game starts wearing a bit thin before then. There's a couple of different weapons, but they're mostly straight upgrades and the enemy ai is about as simplistic as it gets, so there's never any strategy involved, just a whole lot of standing on the end of a long hallway, holding down LMB until the ETs are all powderized. It's fun, but you have to know what you're getting into and adjust your expectations accordingly.
