20 Minutes Till Dawn review

Definitely inspired by the success of Vampire Survivors, but dropping the auto-aim in favor of a classic twin-stick shooter control scheme. Gameplay consists of holding out against an endless, constantly growing horde of enemies while collecting upgrades along the way, with the ultimate goal being to survive for 20 minutes. There's a bunch of different weapons and characters and a decently-sized upgrade tree, which try to keep runs varied in the face of a fairly limited variety of stages and enemies. Each stages comes with 15 difficulty levels, which have to be unlocked one by one, which definitely gets repetitive after a while. The individual runs can be a lot of fun however, with some delightfully broken upgrade combinations that practically snap the difficulty in half.

While not without its flaws, I'd say 20 Minutes Till Dawn is a pretty decent little timekiller and well worth its low asking price, on PC as well as mobile.
